ABOUT US
Bear River Retrievers is a SMALL breeding operation in Northern Utah. We run three females and one stud dog and average one or two litters per year. We love dogs. Our hobby is training our dogs and we take them everywhere with our family---camping, hiking, swimming, picnicking, even to the sheep ranch in Colorado to build fence. These dogs are more than just a mill. They are our love. They are our life. We vet every single potential puppy home because we want to find owners who love their dogs as much as we do. Our dogs are taught manners from the day we brought them home and they are expected to be upstanding citizens and we start socializing our puppies the moment they are born using the AKC vetted Early Neurological Stimulation. We also love to have them be hunting machines because bird hunting is our favorite hobby. We hunt upland and waterfowl so we can hunt as many months of the year as possible. We also run hunt tests as a fun way to test our dog's skills and to keep us training in the off season. We believe that happy dogs are active dogs. Our dogs don't just sit in the kennel until the three days a year they go hunt *cough cough*. They are trained daily and loved continually. We strongly encourage you to come visit us and and select your puppy in person and we also encourage you to plan to pick up your puppy in person although we can arrange shipping for an additional fee. *All puppies sales are subject to the Cache County Sales Tax Rate of 6.7%*
